Ann Beatty was born in Ontario, and grew up in Quebec, lived in Beijing and Hong Kong for 15 years and moved to Bowen Island, on Canada’s west coast. In 2008, she moved to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates for two years. In 2010, she returned to Bowen Island.
